Floyd rimase a coprire le spalle dei suoi compagni con la sua mitragliatrice e fu centrato da un colpo di mortaio. Fu ritrovato 4 mesi dopo e riconosciuto dal solo piastrino.

Direttrice d'attacco del 30° Rgt. della Terza Divisione di Fanteria, qui Maurice Lee Britt avanzò con tre dei suoi per cercare le tracce di un possibile contrattacco, si posizionò in una delle case in fondo (che stiamo identificando) e da li diede indicazioni all'artiglieria per colpire i carri tedeschi in avanzata.
